We provide Business Development & Program Management services for companies looking to add capability with the Government. We also provide Engineering & DER Services and Repair & Manufacturing. Our Part 145 Repair Station capabilities focus on both military and commercial parts that include Structural (both Composite & Metal) and Galley equipment. Our turning center focuses on Bushings, Sleeves, Shims & similar products. In our Machine Center, we focus on specialty parts requiring high precision. Finally, we brought together a team of complementary MROs to provide a nose to tail solution for your programs.

Dan “Spaulding” Shoaf, Owner and President of DaVinci Aerospace, is a former C-130 Evaluator/FCF Pilot and Graduate of the USAF Weapons School. Dan left the service as a Major and has over 3500 hours in command of multiple aircraft including the T-37, T-44 & C-130E/H1-3. Dan has deployed 9 times to Iraq and Afghanistan in various positions in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Following his extensive career in the USAF, Dan worked overseas as an Expat in Saudi Arabia teaching the Royal Saudi Air Force how to better utilize their logistics and taught the 4th Flying Wing the intricacies of flying the C-130 Hercules. Finally, Dan has spent the last 4 years in the MRO and Component Test market working various positions in Sales, Marketing & Customer Service culminating
in his final position as Director of Defense.
Rob Campbell, Vice President of Operations of DaVinci Aerospace, is a decorated combat veteran of the United States Army and aviation executive professional. Rob has deployed 8 times to Iraq and Afghanistan in both soldier and civilian roles in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Rob holds multiple FAA certifications and a degree in Aviation management. During his 17 years in the aviation industry Rob has held pivotal roles for several large aviation sector companies during the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and the addition of aviation capabilities. Rob is an articulate problem solver with an “outside the box” approach that achieves long lasting, innovative, and economical solutions to industry requirements.

Claudia Carmone, Director of Programs, comes to DaVinci with an extensive background in Project Management, Operations Scheduling, and Procurement. She has unmatched experience working inside a company to streamline operations with the integration of ERP systems like SAP and BaaN. After finishing college and teaching High School music for 6 years, Claudia made a transition into the tech industry in 1983 as a Materials Planning Specialist at Northern Telecom. Through her almost 20-year career at Northern Telecom, she worked as a Sr. Planner in Production Control and the Manager of Operations Scheduling. She finished her time at Nortel as a Senior Project Manager with multiple certifications in that field. Claudia now provides DaVinci with much-needed experience and advises on all aspects of the company to include Finance, HR, and strategic sourcing.
Alan, Vice President of Sales is a seasoned professional in Aviation MRO Sales & Marketing with an extensive and worldwide customer base. Alan is a veteran of the British Royal Navy where he served in an aviation squadron focusing on Helicopter Maintenance and Engineering. Alan has led several different organizations to great success both as an Operations Manager and Sales & Marketing Vice President. DaVinci is lucky to have such a deep wealth of knowledge on board our executive staff!

Derek came to us as an Engineering Intern. His performance and drive have lifted him into the position as a technical sales manager. Derek is currently pursuing his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from NC A&T SU.
DaVinci’s Engineers have a deep extensive knowledge of Aviation and Engineering. Our VP of Engineering has extensive experience working for British Aerospace, Rolls Royce Aero and Bombardier Aerospace. He also has experience in working airframe and structural programs on aircraft like the British Tornado. He’s also led very large programs in the automotive industry as well. Our VP of Research & Development has over 20 years of experience in automotive R&D and holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. His extensive knowledge of modeling and on-demand engineering is a valuable asset to our SBIR team.
Mark Peterman, FAA Structures DER and President of Plane Analytics, is an accomplished business leader and technical specialist with a Master’s of Engineering in Mechanics followed by over 30 years in the aviation industry. He spent 9 years at The Boeing Company as a stress engineer working fuselage/floor structure on the 767/747 aircraft and 22 years at HAECO (formerly TIMCO). He has managed dozens of FAA STC projects ranging from Passenger-to-Freighter conversions, enhanced flight deck door, avionics upgrades, antenna installations, and interior reconfigurations on Boeing and Airbus airframe. During his time at HAECO he held multiple management positions including President of HAECO Cabin Solutions. We are thrilled to have Mark onsite in our facility. He brings a big-picture view to the business while still understanding the details and willingly rolls up his sleeves to collaborate with all team members.
